Which Shipping Method Should You Choose?

UPS Next Day Air is our strongest recommendation for all live shipments. While it costs 2-3 times more than USPS, it provides reliable overnight delivery and comes with our full live arrival guarantee.

USPS Priority Mail is offered as an affordable alternative. However, please read our guarantee terms carefully below, as USPS service reliability has significantly declined.

Live Arrival Guarantee

UPS Next Day Air - Full Guarantee ✓

We fully guarantee live arrival for all livestock and plants shipped via UPS Next Day Air.

If there are any issues:

  • Notify us within 2 hours of the posted delivery time

  • Provide a clear photo of any affected items in their unopened bags

  • We will provide a refund or replacement

  • ​

USPS Priority Mail - Limited Guarantee

Due to significant USPS service delays throughout 2025, we can only guarantee live arrival if your package arrives within the expected delivery window.

How it works:

  • 2-Day Priority: If we ship Monday, October 13th, your package should arrive by Wednesday, October 15th. Live arrival is guaranteed only if delivered by October 15th.

  • 3-Day Priority: If we ship Monday, October 13th, your package should arrive by Thursday, October 16th. Live arrival is guaranteed only if delivered by October 16th.

If USPS delays your package beyond these dates, we cannot guarantee live arrival.

Why the Change?

Prior to 2025, we shipped exclusively with USPS and offered full guarantees. Unfortunately, 95% of our USPS Priority Mail shipments in 2025 have taken 5+ days to arrive—some taking up to 14 days—despite being labeled as "2-Day Priority." USPS does not compensate for live animal losses regardless of delays, and we can no longer absorb these losses.

We understand this is frustrating, but we want to be transparent about the risks so you can make an informed decision.

Important Notes

  • All shipments are carefully packaged with appropriate insulation and heat/cold packs as needed

  • We monitor weather conditions and may delay shipments for the safety of your livestock

  • Choose the shipping method that best fits your budget and risk tolerance

  • When in doubt, UPS Next Day Air is always the safest choice
