Anubias Pinto
Anubias Pinto (Anubias barteri var. nana 'Pinto') is a rare, highly variegated Anubias prized for its white and green marbled leaves. Like all Anubias it is hardy and beginner friendly, growing from a rhizome that should be attached to driftwood or rock and never buried in the substrate. It thrives in low to moderate light with no CO2 required, and its slow, compact growth makes it a standout centerpiece for nano tanks, aquascapes, and shrimp tanks, where the bright foliage really pops. For another white-marbled Anubias, see our Anubias Snow White.
What I like about this plant: Pinto is one of those plants that looks like it should be difficult and just is not. The white marbling gives you the color of a demanding stem plant with the toughness of an Anubias. I keep mine under moderate, steady light so the white leaves stay clean, and because it grows so slowly, a nice piece only gets more valuable over time.
