Bucephalandra Super Blue

Habitat and Growth
Natural Habitat: Bucephalandra species, including "Super Blue," are typically found growing as dense mats over stones or rocks in streams or rivers within moist tropical forests, primarily on the island of Borneo.
Growth Form: These plants are epiphytes, meaning they grow on other surfaces rather than rooting in soil. They have creeping rhizomes and prehensile roots, which allow them to attach to various substrates like rocks and wood.
Appearance
Leaf Color: The leaves of Bucephalandra "Super Blue" exhibit a range of colors. Under favorable conditions, new leaves can appear with a bloody red color, while older leaves take on a dark blue or purple hue. This color variation makes them highly attractive to aquarists.
Leaf Shape: The leaves are narrow and can resemble those of Cryptocoryne species, but their overall growth habit is more similar to Anubias due to their rhizomes and root structure.
 
Unlike virtually every online store all of my Buce Super Blue is grown submerged (unless noted). This makes the transition to your tank easier. This particular variant has been growing submerged in my tank since 2020. 
 
I originally bought these emersed and have been careful in keeping each variant in it's own tank. I am not an expert at distinguishing variants of buce as a lot are very similar but I can guarantee that at least I'm passing along what was sold to me with the correct name.
