Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia
Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia is a robust, hardy crypt with broad, heart-shaped green leaves that make an easy, attractive midground plant in the aquarium. Like other Cryptocoryne, it is a rooted plant that draws most of its nutrients from the substrate, so it thrives in nutrient-rich soil with root tabs. It is one of the more forgiving crypts, growing in low to moderate light without CO2 and tolerating a wide range of water conditions. Newly planted crypts can melt back as they adjust, then regrow fresh leaves from the roots, so leave it in place and be patient. Perfect for beginners and low-tech tanks that want a lush, leafy plant that fills in over time with almost no effort.
