Dwarf Sagittaria
Dwarf Sagittaria (Sagittaria subulata) is a hardy, grass-like aquarium plant that forms a lush green foreground or midground carpet. Its short, ribbon-shaped leaves spread quickly by runners, filling in open substrate to create a natural, meadow-like look. One of the easiest carpeting plants to grow, Dwarf Sagittaria tolerates a wide range of conditions and does not require CO2, making it a great choice for beginners and low-tech tanks. Under stronger light it stays short and compact, while lower light lets it grow a little taller as a midground grass. Plant the crowns in a nutrient-rich substrate and it will send out runners to form a dense, low carpet. Perfect for nature aquascapes, community tanks, and anyone wanting an easy, fast-spreading green foreground.
