Ludwigia Dark Red instantly upgrades any aquarium with rich colors from olive green and bronze to deep red and wine tones. This round-leaved variety creates classic 'planted tank glow' - warm color, soft movement, lush fullness.
 
Care Requirements
Highly adaptable. Does not require specialized substrate or CO2, but responds dramatically to better conditions. High lighting brings deepest coloration. Benefits from root tabs and liquid fertilizer.
 
Placement & Planting
Shines as background or midground color anchor. Plant behind rocks or driftwood. Creates beautiful ombre effect - red at top, green below.

  • It's transitioning from emersed or needs higher light for red coloration. Increase lighting intensity. Iron supplementation also helps bring out reds.

Pests & Algae

I do have snails in my tank.I do my best to pick off what I see. Duckweed have invaded a few tanks but most plants will be free of duckweed. Older leaves may have a bit of algae but I typically clean up all plants before shipping.
