Vallisneria Jungle Red features long, ribbon-like leaves with attractive reddish-bronze undertones under stronger lighting. Creates stunning flowing backgrounds that sway gracefully. Fast-growing and undemanding.
 
Care Requirements
Very easy to grow. Tolerates wide range of conditions without CO2. Actually prefers harder, more alkaline water. Heavy root feeder - benefits from root tabs.
 
Placement & Planting
Background plant due to tall growth (can exceed 24 inches). Plant along back or sides. Spreads via runners to form dense 'jungle.'

  • Can exceed 2 feet easily. May reach surface and float along top in shorter tanks. Trim at base to control height.

Pests & Algae

I do have snails in my tank.I do my best to pick off what I see. Duckweed have invaded a few tanks but most plants will be free of duckweed. Older leaves may have a bit of algae but I typically clean up all plants before shipping.
