Longfin Panda Cory Cats
Last import date: 10/21/26
The Longfin Panda Corydoras (Corydoras panda) is a peaceful little bottom dweller with a creamy body, bold black eye patches, and a black patch at the base of the tail that gives it its panda look. The longfin variety adds flowing, extended fins on top of that, making it one of the most eye-catching corys for a planted community tank. Adults stay small, around 2 to 2.5 inches, and they are most active and confident in a group.
Care Requirements: Easy to keep in a mature, cycled tank. Panda corys prefer cooler water than many tropical fish and do well at 68-77°F. Use fine sand or smooth gravel so their barbels stay healthy, and add plants, driftwood, and caves for cover. Feed sinking pellets, algae wafers, and frozen or live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. Keep the tank clean, since corys are sensitive to poor water quality and to copper-based medications.
Tankmates & Behavior: Peaceful and social. Keep them in a group of 6 or more with other peaceful fish such as small tetras, rasboras, and livebearers, and with shrimp. Avoid large or aggressive tankmates that compete for food or nip their long fins.
Parameters: Temperature: 68-77°F | pH: 6.0-7.5 | GH: 2-12 | Difficulty: Beginner
